Why newborns?

So why newborns. Well it just so happened that at the time my photography journey began my sister was pregnant with twins. She had some adorable photos of her first child taken as a baby not long after his birth, but had travelled to Melbourne for those. The likelihood of doing that this time round, with twins (and her 2 yr old) were looking slim. So she asked – why don’t you do them? So I started some research and began to understand just how unique newborn photography was and just how important it was to know what you were doing to ensure the safety of the baby. As it happened I was able to take some a hands on workshop course and begin my newborn photography journey. Finally my little nephews arrived…..and well here they are……or were ……… all the way back in 2012!!
